■ We use low or no VOC products. VOC's are "volatile organic compounds", which can be detrimental to indoor air quality.
■ We feature Mannington® floors which are independently tested and meet stringent air quality standards.
■ We use Sherwin Williams® low VOC custom paint throughout your home.
■ You can choose to upgrade to Sherwin Williams® Harmony Paint which contains Odor Eliminating Technology to reduce ambient odors like pets, cooking and smoke odors. Its zero VOC formula meets the most stringent VOC regulations.
■ In existing homes, inadequate numbers of vents and returns can reduce the amount of clean air flow to a room and can leave stagnate, uncirculated air. Your brand-new Schumacher home won’t pose these problems.
■ You can choose to reduce airborne contaminants even further by adding a whole house HEPA Filter and UV Air Purification system or Healthy Climate MERV Media Air Cleaner.
■ The HEPA filter is 99.97% effective, trapping particles to 0.3 microns in size. Purification is done through a germicidal process and photo-oxidation destroying airborne biological and chemical contaminants in the air.
■ We offer a Lennox® air purifier system with Healthy Climate filters to improve airflow and home ventilation giving you fresher air, compared to existing homes where air ducts and returns can become corroded and dirty overtime. The filters can trap dust, pollen, and other particles and they also prevent asthma and respiratory problems by trapping allergens, and even prevent illness by removing viruses, bacteria, and mold. It does all this without adding to the cost of running your heating and cooling system, compared to older and underpowered HVAC units.
■ All of the homes we build use PEX water lines. This is the latest in technology that brings you and your family the highest quality water for health and for performance. PEX is noncorrosive and chemical free, whereas copper corrodes over time and CPVC uses solvents/glues that give off chemicals in your water.

You can add Kohler®’s Aquifer reverse osmosis (RO) water filtration system that reduces contaminants including arsenic, fluoride, TDS, bacteria, virus, lead, mercury, chlorine and pharmaceuticals in your cold water.
■ Enhance protection for your new home’s water systems with Flo by Moen® to detect and stop leaks. From your toilet, shower or faucet, to the pipes in your foundation and behind your walls, the smart water security system monitors all of them so there’s no surprises on your water bill or catastrophes when you come home from vacation. The smart water valve has remote and automatic options to shut off water flow. Get all of your alerts in real-time through your app and use the app dashboard to see how much water you're consuming daily and set conservation goals to encourage saving water and money for your home.
■ You can reduce germs and bacteria on common surfaces throughout the home to keep everyone living healthier.
■ Not only does it look good and will not stain, Quartz is nonporous and antibacterial. Quartz countertops are sealed, meaning they’re not porous like natural stone countertops, such as granite. Other natural stone countertops have microscopic pores where germs can get trapped. If you pick a natural stone countertop such as granite or marble, you can still keep the surface safe with proper cleaning and sealing.
■ Select Delta’s Touch Technology faucets so you can run water without using your hands. Just use your wrist or forearm to touch anywhere on the spout or handle. That activates a flow of water for washing your hands. Now families can stop spreading germs by touching the faucet.
