Patrick and Shelly had built a home once before, but that was in a community development, and, quite frankly, not really what they wanted. Shelly also helped design the ultimate relaxation area within the house by adding a massive soaking tub, which has now officially become the envy of all of her sisters and nieces.
Patrick let Shelly do the majority of the custom design selections for their home, as she is “the one with an eye for design and space,” but ultimately, the greatest piece of advice that they got from their Sales Coordinator was to “do it now.” Whatever they were thinking about, add it to the list and make things perfect.
Shelly and Patrick chose to add ceiling design, trim details, their walkabout basement, the expansive porch, and several other custom touches during initial construction, which led to their home being ideal from the start rather than leaving them with a long to-do list of major projects. According to Patrick, throughout the entire process there was truly a team commitment between him, his wife, and their New Home Consultant with fantastic communication all around. There was never a moment when someone from the team felt out of the loop.
