Ryan and his wife Amy had been through the home-building process before. The couple customized Schumacher Homes’ Callaway plan - moving walls, adding an extra bedroom, expanding the sides of the home by 8-feet, and adding a door on the large wraparound porch so their four boys could enter through the laundry room after a day of outdoor play. Amy had seen images of exteriors in a magazine and brought those in to customize the exterior of the Callaway.
“Our builder was great to work with,” said Amy. “He was so flexible with our custom choices in design and exterior finishes. It just made everything easy and really raised our comfort-level in building this time around. We knew we were going to get exactly what we wanted.”
A Pennsylvania native, Ryan grew up surrounded by natural beauty; wide open spaces unmarred by development. He and Amy bought two acres, with a dream of building a southern-style home with an expansive front porch that would be situated perfectly to take advantage of its surroundings.
