This designation is issued to a limited number of homebuilders by the U.S Department of Energy and the EPA. Each home is individually inspected and must comply with rigorous guidelines before it is given the Energy Star® designation. Energy Star® homes provide third party substantiated proof of real utility cost savings. Energy Star® features include; Efficient Insulation, High-Performance Windows, Tight Construction and Ducts, Efficient Heating and Cooling Equipment and Third Party Verification.
